About AISHE
- The Union Ministry of Education has released the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2020-2021.
- The Ministry has been conducting the Survey since 2011, it covers higher educational institutions located in India.
- The survey collects information on different parameters such as student enrollment, teacher data, infrastructural information, financial information etc.
- In AISHE 2020-21, for the first time, the data was filled in using an entirely online data collection platform developed by the Department of Higher Education through the National Informatics Centre (NIC).
Objectives
- Identify all the institutions of the Higher learning in the country.
- Collect the data from all the Higher Education Institutions on various aspects of higher education.
- Data is being uploaded in following Data Capture Format:
- DCF - I form is for Universities
- DCF - II form is for Colleges
- DCF - III form is for Standalone Institutes
- Information of infrastructure, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, students, results, financial statement etc is going to made available through this DCF form.
Data is being collected on following broad items
- Institution’s Basic Details
- Teacher’s Details
- Details of Non-Teaching Staff
- Programme conducted under various Faculties/Schools & Departments/Centres
- Students enrolled in these Programme
- Examination result of terminal year of each Programme
- Financial Information such as Receipt and Expenditure under various heads
- Availability of Infrastructure
- Scholarships, Loans & Accreditation
