The Department of Physics was started in the academic year 1998-1999 with B.Sc. Physics and upgraded to M.Sc. Physics in August 2013. The Physics course has been conducting in shift-I. The Department of Physics is having two regular faculties and two Guest Lecturers, a PTA staff in addition. All faculty members are visionary teachers and passionate research scholars deeply committed to their profession. The curriculum makes the students to have comprehensive skills with in-depth knowledge in physics which enable their administrative skills, teaching and research careers with confidence. The Department is fully component and well equipped to face the daunting challenges in the field of higher education. The vision of the Department is, to awaken the young minds and discover their talents both in theory and in practical physics through dedication to teach, commitment towards students and innovative instructional methods like PPT and Visual aids, to prepare the students to face the global challenges, to provide students with the best possible learning experience, to achieve academic excellence and integrity and to enhance the academic productivity by accelerating the educational opportunities. The Mission of the Department is molding the students to succeed in a dynamic and supportive learning environment to realize meaningful careers and make a difference in the society by preparing theoretical concepts, developing communication skills, making conscience and growing with completive potentials.
