The Department of Corporate Secretaryship B.COM (Corporate Secretaryship ) was started in the year 1982. From 2007-2008 onwards the B.com (Corporate Secretaryship) – shift-II classes are conducted by the Institution. Considering the contemporary academic needs, the Directorate of Collegiate Education, Government of Tami Nadu sanctioned the post graduate courses. In the year 2012-2013 M.com- Corporate Secretaryship course was started.
The vision of our department is to shape the students think positively and become successful Entrepreneurs. The prime objective of the department is to create a world class Academic Environment in the field of Commerce and Business. The course will prepare the students to respond to the needs of the Industry and Administration.
The curriculum of B COM (CS) and MCOM (CS) is structured in a way that the students acquire in- depth knowledge in Corporate affairs. The comprehensive curriculum design bestows excellent career opportunities to explore new vistas in the present era. The subjects Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Management Accounting, Income Tax Law and Practice, Business Communications, Institutional Training and Projects are acquiring the knowledge at practical and procedural aspects of a company and understand the method of solving the problems in company accounts, and to get an overview of the practical aspects of Company Secretaryship.
